Virat Kohli revealed his cricket career during live chat on Instagram

Virat Kohli mentioned this during a live chat on Instagram with R Ashwin, remembering many things of his cricketing career. During this talk, he also mentioned a match played during the Asia Cup between India and Pakistan in 2012. During this match, there was a fierce competition on the field between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

While talking to R Ashwin, Virat Kohli recalled that incident and said that at that time the fielding of India was going on. I was standing at deep mid-wicket while Rohit was fielding at deep square leg. At the time when both of them collided on the field, R Ashwin was bowling. During this, the batsman shot a shot and I ran to field him and Rohit also ran to catch the ball. In the same sequence, the right part of my head hit Rohit’s shoulder.

Virat said that it was a terrible collision and in this round, Pakistani batsmen took three runs, while there was only one run to go. MS Dhoni was not at all happy with this incident. His reaction was how these two can collide and give three runs. In that match, Virat Kohli scored the best 183 runs of his ODI career against Pakistan and Hindustan chased the target of 330 runs. This match was played in Dhaka.

In that Asia Cup match, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Pakistan’s team shared a 224-run partnership for the first wicket on the century of Nasir Jamshed and Mohammad Hafeez. Under the captaincy of Misbah-ul-Haq, Pakistan had scored a big score of 329 for 6 wickets in 50 overs in that match. Fielding of India was also not very good during this match.

After this, Hindustan got off to a good start with Sachin Tendulkar’s 52-run innings and then a 168-run partnership for the third wicket between Virat and Rohit. Rohit had scored an innings of 68 runs while Virat Kohli played a brilliant innings of 183 runs and gave the team victory. Virat had hit 22 fours and a six in his innings. Hindustan won the historic victory by 6 wickets in this match. However, India could not reach the final of this tournament.
