The Bangladesh Cricket Board, or BCB, has not given permission to some of its big players to train and practice at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium due to security reasons, as the outbreak of Corona virus epidemic has not reduced yet.
Bangladesh team’s wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim is one of the players whose board has not been allowed to practice in the stadium.
The BCB has also not allowed its players to train at the stadium, as the board is yet to disinfect its facilities. BCB Chief Executive Officer Nizamuddin Chaudhary said, “Mushfiqur Rahim communicated with us, he wanted to start personal training, but we told him that there is no safe time to do this, he should train at home “Training is important, but the safety of the players is more important for us.”
“Some other players also wanted to know if they could do personal training, but our message was the same for everyone. We work on making our facilities playable,” the Bangladesh Cricket Board official quoted Cricbuzz as saying. But the work has not been completed yet. ” The lockdown has been lifted in Bangladesh since May 31, but the condition is not normal, as more than 55 thousand cases have been reported here, while 746 people have also died due to corona.
Nizamuddin Chaudhary further said, “We need to consider the whole situation. We cannot do anything. Many countries are starting their activities. We will definitely do the same. However, we do not have an exact date yet.” We are working to disinfect the things required for training after Eid, and it is in the process. After its completion we can say that we are ready to start cricket training again. “
