Tahira Kashyap, Breast Cancer Survivor, an inspirational poem on World Cancer Day


February 4 is celebrated as World Cancer Day to raise awareness about cancer. Tahira Kashyap is a breast cancer survivor and on World Cancer Day, she has written an inspirational poem for cancer patients and survivors to embrace their scars like a badge of honor. Tahira Kashyap was diagnosed with stage zero breast cancer in 2018 and underwent a mastectomy procedure. On an audio show titled My pre-breast, Ayushmann Khurrana, who was inspired by his wife’s strength throughout his fight, called her his ‘victorious queen’. On World Cancer Day, Tahira recited a poem for all those battling cancer as well as for survivors. He said, “Some traces are deep, some deep within. Some are seen, while some are hidden. The thing about the scar is that it reminds you of the past, the moments of grief you think will end forever. “

“Fighting cancer is not just physical but also mental, some battles are more difficult to win, especially when internal. But listen to me again, we all have that fighter which is the strength of the universe. Tahira Kashyapa further said that indomitable spirit cannot be crushed by any fear.
