Authorities said Tuesday that two children were hit by bullets in an Atlanta suburb and police are searching for four people who have been removed from the scene.
Police said the shooting occurred just before 8 a.m. Monday at the Indian Creek Apartments in DeKalb County, 11 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta.
Officials said the injured children and a third young man were treated at a local hospital after suffering injuries from a broken glass. Officials said the third child was kept overnight, but is expected to survive.
Four men, who were last seen in a green or black dodge charger, are being questioned. It was not immediately clear if the suspects knew children who were injured.
“The shooters have not been identified,” said DeCalb County Police spokesman Michela Vincent.
No adults were injured inside the apartment with three young victims between the ages of 7 and 11.
