Back in 2020, Anupam Kher posted a picture with the veteran actor and was reminiscent of their day together. He narrated a story and revealed, “I miss #ArrishPuri ji. He was a gentleman I had the privilege to be friends with. He was calm and kind. He had a childhood innocence. And yet he did Indian and most Played the role of tough villain. International cinema. One of the most professional actors. Punctual and disciplined. He would often say to me, “Yaar! Tu bada naughty nach bach hai!” Many people have not called me a child (young boy). It felt very good. And I would answer, ‘Amrish ji, Tussi Great Ho!’ And he will be suffering like a child. Amrish ji, you will always be great.
Amrish Puri passed away on 12 January 2005. He was battling a rare type of blood cancer. The actor made his film debut in 1970, Love priest While his last film was Who: The Warrior Poet, Which was released posthumously.
