Officials said a propane tank explosion in Queens, New York closed a highway just after midnight on Tuesday.
Police in New York City said the explosion occurred on the westbound Long Island Expressway where a 36-year-old male truck driver, who was not identified by police, lost control of the vehicle after hitting a piece of snow.
The semi-truck was affected by a vehicle crash of a semi-truck, dropping “large” cargo of a propane cylinder, police said.
According to police, no one was injured.
The videos show a flip-over vehicle engulfed in flames, causing an explosion and emitting smoke in the air.
Police said one of the propane cylinders spilled from the truck hit a US mail truck parked nearby, causing a vehicle to catch fire.
According to the New York City Fire Department, the fire was controlled by a team of 106 firefighters approximately two hours after the explosion.
The NYPD found “no criminality” by the truck driver involved in the crash.
