The president’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr. has tested positive for coronovirus, a spokesman told NBC News on Friday.
“Don tested positive at the beginning of the week and has been exiting his cabin since the results. The spokesperson said, he is completely asymptomatic so far and is following all the medically recommended COVID-19 guidelines.
The news comes that, based on NBC News’ count, more than 250,000 deaths and over 11 million cases have been confirmed in the US. The US is now counting more than 100,000 cases across the country as it has crossed 100,000 numbers across the country.
Donald Trump Jr., 42, was one of more than a hundred people who attended his father’s election night party at the White House, where many were not seen wearing masks. He is traveling in various states as a campaign surrogate to defend his father’s electoral losses.
Since then, Andrew Giuliani, son of President Donald Trump’s special assistant and campaign’s top lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, announced that he tested positive for coronovirus. Trump’s Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows and other White House aides and members of Congress have also tested positive.
Kimberly Gilfoyle, a senior Trump campaign official and girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr., tested positive for coronavirus in July.
Trump and first lady Melania Trump tested positive after being diagnosed last month by White House aide Hope Hicks, among other high-profile Republicans in the White House, Congress and the Trump campaign. Many people, including the president, have been recovered.
NBC News has confirmed about 50 Kovid-19 cases between the Trump administration and campaign officials.
