MasterChef Junior 6 Star Ben Watkins died at the age of 14. He was suffering from a rare type of cancer, of which only six people have been diagnosed in the world. The child’s parents died three years ago in 2017, when his father shot his wife and then killed himself. MasterChef mentor Gordon Ramsay has expressed deep sorrow after the child’s demise. Gordon wrote, “We lost a master of @MasterChefJrFOXkitchen today. Ben you were an incredibly talented home cook and an even stronger youth.”Ben Watkins, the MasterChef Jr. 6 star, dies of a rare cancer, three years after his parents’ death.
The baby came on the show when she was just 11 years old. He recorded his episodes for the show before his parents died.
Gordon’s tweet further stated, “There were a lot of hard turns in your young life but you always stood firm. All love for this terrible loss to Ben Watkins’ family.” A statement from Ben’s uncle said, “Ben was always the strong man we know.”

Fox also shared condolences in a statement: “It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing away of Ben Watkins, a beloved member of the MasterChef Jr. family. Ben went so far ahead with a remarkably positive outlook in his life Gaya. She had a tremendous role. Model for chefs of all ages and will be dearly missed by everyone at Endemolshine North America and Fox Entertainment. “
Ben’s family members revealed the news about his cancer diagnosis in July 2020. He started a fundraiser for his medical expenses.
