Greg Berlanti may add another DC project to his CW roster.
The CW is developing a “Wonder Girl” series, based on the DC characters created by Joel Jones with Berlanti as executive characters, Variety Has been confirmed.
The potential one-hour drama revolves around Yar Flor, a Latina dreamer who was born to an Amazonian warrior and a Brazilian river god. She realizes that she is Wonder Girl and must fight evil forces with her new power who wants to destroy the world.
Darlene Rodriguez, whose previous credits include “Ugly Betty” and who has served as showrunner in the last few seasons of USA Network’s “The Queen of the South”, Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and David Madden for Berlanti Productions Ready to write and executive produce simultaneously.
