Thaman S is a popular music composer and is widely known for his works in Telugu and Tamil cinema. He has also composed songs for some Hindi and Kannada films. He was only 11 when he entered the music industry as an assistant musician with the film Bhairava Dwaipam Released in 1994. Thaman S is the grandson of veteran director Ghantalasa Balaramayya. His parents Ghantasala Shiv Kumar and Ghantasala Savitri were a dholakia and playback singer respectively.
