Actress Kangana Ranaut has called Twitter a Hinduprobic and antinational platform, stating that micro-blogging sites should be banned in India. The actress posted her thoughts with a picture where she is seen posing with her father. “A rare picture between my father and me is finally agreeing on something … even though none of us remember what it was. BTW there is a discussion that the government may ban Twitter, Go to India for this … we don ‘Kangana tweeted that we need a Hindophobic, antinational platform to keep quiet. Kangana Ranaut called Jo Biden as ‘Bindani’, the actress said to be the 46th US president and ‘she won’t last more than a year’.
His tweet came at a time when #BanTwitter started trending after seeing an error on the Indian map on the platform. On Thursday night, Twitter also removed the display picture (DP) of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. After a while the DP was reinstated. It was revealed that someone took action on Twitter after claiming copyright on the image. However, the site reestablished the same picture as soon as the action was questioned.
